Now four years into our life as an organisation, we are looking for an accomplished leader to join us as our Executive Director – Strategy, Policy and Governance. The purpose of this newly created role is to lead the corporate development process to ensure that MaPS has a clear five year strategy and underpinning annual plans, informed by deep market insight, rigorous evidence and tailored analysis, which delivers enhanced outcomes for customers and value for money for taxpayers. Building on strong evidence-based policy development, you will lead the organisation’s work to ensure that our strategy is focused on delivering in areas of maximum impact. As a key member of the executive leadership team reporting directly to the Chief Executive, your role will extend into the wider strategic leadership of MaPS, shaping our future direction and ensuring that we have a culture that enables people to flourish in delivering the impact we are passionate about realising.

Our new Executive Director – Strategy, Policy and Governance will be an accomplished leader with a significant track record of effective evidence-based policy development and assessment that has delivered positive tangible outcomes. You will be have previously played a key role in shaping strategic thinking at an organisational level that builds on a range of different techniques, research and insight, coupled with the ability to communicate this to a diverse audience. Comfortable managing a multi-disciplinary team of experts, you will also be credible and experienced at influencing at board level with executives and non-executive alike. Culture is as important as capability, and you will demonstrate a values set in line with those we have developed at MaPS.
